Welcome, Students For Liberty Sierra Leone

On 24th of April, 2018 Students For Liberty Sierra Leone held their first meeting at Frubah College, University of Sierra Leone –  an event which officially marked the launching of the group’s activities in the country.

Before an audience of students from the college and neighboring institutions,  the group’s inaugural leader, Bob Shaffa said SFL Sierra Leone is poised to push for personal, economic freedom, property rights, limited government, rule of law, free trade, entrepreneurship and personal responsibility in the country.

Shaffa charged the students that the future of the movement in the country is dependent on reaching out and raising young leaders to become change advocates in their local communities.

Elizabeth Yorpoi from Njala University, at the meeting also resolved to start up an SFL student group on campus, with various projects that promote peace and prosperity in their communities.

For SFL Sierra Leone, focus for this year shall be on working with students, and educating them on classical liberal ideas; starting up campus groups at colleges that include: Njala University, Frubah College, Milton Margai College of Education and Technology, University of Makeni, Eastern Polytechnic. The group also plan to host a national activism event in the country.
