The third in a series on policy research within think tanks, Thursday’s webinar will feature Jeff Miron, director of economic studies at the Cato Institute on the subject of research methodology for studies meant to move policy.

The presentation will provide an introduction to key research methodologies, when to use them, and how to employ research to effect policy change. It also counts for one credit for anyone enrolled in the Atlas Leadership Academy.

jeff mironIn addition to his work at Cato, Jeff Miron is the director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Economics at Harvard University. He is the author of Drug War Crimes: The Consequences of Prohibition and The Economics of Seasonal Cycles and focuses on the area of the economics of libertarianism, with particular emphasis on the economics of illegal drugs. So the webinar should be particularly useful for anyone interested in drug policy and the economics of prohibition and other restrictions on trade.
