The Institute for Liberal Studies will be awarding $9,000 in cash prizes for student essays answering the question “Are there moral limits to markets?”.

To be eligible, you must be a full-time post-secondary student studying in Canada, or a Canadian resident enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in another country. Essays should not exceed 2,000 words and must be submitted by February 28, 2017.

The following prizes will be awarded:

Graduate Students

• 1st Place – $1,500
• 2nd Place – $750
• 3rd Place – $500

Undergraduate Students

• 1st Place – $1,000
• 2nd Place – $500
• 3rd Place – $250
