Student Outreach Associate (North America)

Students For Liberty is currently seeking a passionate and professional individual to lead our efforts in educating, developing, and empowering student leaders at Ivy League universities and other prestigious educational institutions in the United States. We are making a strategic investment in these universities because we believe they are fertile ground for our vision of a free academy and a free society. The ultimate aim of our Student Outreach Associate is to grow and empower the student movement for liberty at the top 50 universities in the United States. This individual will assist with leadership training, events, resource distribution, and other SFL programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of leadership training programs, such as our Campus Coordinator Program, for participants at those universities.
  • Actively recruit for SFL’s leadership programs.
  • Evaluate and critique conference proposals. Oversee execution of student conferences.
  • Build up SFL’s brand, partnerships, and donor base at these universities.
  • A portion of this role will be working with the Development team to identify and engage with donors.

Qualifications

A background in the following is strongly preferred, but not required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Student organizing and outreach experience, preferably in a leadership position of a libertarian student group
  • Ability to balance many different projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proven leadership ability which brings out the best possible performance in peers and constituents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with young people, including a strong understanding of issues that appeal to millennials
  • Experience with development and donor relations is preferred

Depending on the candidate, remote work is a possibility.

Compensation

Salary for this position is competitive to other liberty movement nonprofits. Benefits include health insurance and a retirement plan.
