SFL In The Media – April 2017 Highlights
Students For Liberty and our network of activists are regularly featured in national and international media outlets on a wide variety of topics. Below are some examples of SFL’s media presence during April 2017.
- SFL’s Director of North American Programs David Clement appeared on CBC to discuss Canadian drug policy on behalf of the Consumer Choice Center. Check out his appearance here.
- Exame (a leading business magazine in Brazil) cited Students For Liberty as a prime example of the growing classical liberal movement in the country. Read the full article here.
- Our Speak Freely advocates have been making waves in the U.S. media. Joe Shamp spoke to numerous outlets about how his campus club wants to remove limits on free speech and academic freedom, whilst Natalie Bao Tram Le criticized Harvard’s poor record on free speech issues in The Harvard Crimson here.
- A
longside the Consumer Choice Center, SFL activists in the UK caught the attention of various media outlets with the country’s first Nanny State Corner Store. The store was an attempt to mock the increasing amount of lifestyle regulations being passed by all levels of government. - Australian SFLers caused quite a stir by attempting to screen controversial documentary The Red Pill at the University of Sydney. The screening was cancelled on completely unreasonable grounds, and this censorship was covered by outlets such as Breitbart and Heat Street.
