Students For Liberty’s Regional Conferences are a place for those both brand new to the ideas of liberty and those with an advanced understanding of the philosophy. At these events you have a unique opportunity to network, hear from distinguished speakers, develop professional skills, and much more. Most importantly, students learn how advocate for liberty on their campus and ultimately make the world a freer place! Not only are the Regional Conferences a blast, but they change lives! Don’t just take my word for it. Here’s Jesse Velay-Vitow, the current Canada Regional Director on Students For Liberty’s North American Executive Board reminiscing on the Regional Conference that changed his life and ignited his passion for advocating for a freer future:
“When I first decided to attend the 2015 Vancouver Regional Conference (RC), it was with the intention of challenging my beliefs and convincing myself that libertarianism was incorrect. To my surprise, this was not to be the case. I have never drank more coffee in my life, nor have I been so rapturously engaged as I was that day. When it was all over, I rushed home and filled out an application to be a Campus Coordinator. It’s been two years since that Regional Conference, and I’m now more engaged in the fight for global freedom than ever. In fact, I now serve as the Regional Director of Canada on the North American Executive Board and I owe it all to that RC.”
