We had a great time hosting you at the Marriott Wardman Park, and hope you enjoyed speakers like Jonathan Haidt, CrossFit CEO Greg Glassman, and Steve Forbes.
This year – our tenth anniversary, is very special to Students For Liberty, and it was an honor to share it with all of you.
We awarded the ISFLC17 awards to some very deserving student leaders!
SFL Hyderabad took home Group of the Year (you can follow them on Facebook here), Ethan Pritchard from College Park Students For Liberty (Maryland, United States) won Student of the Year, and Bosnian SFL won Event of the Year for the OPEN Festival.

We also introduced a new award, Artist of the Year, which went to Lara Cochetel for her short video “Munitionnettes” and we named Dr. Tom G. Palmer as this year’s Alumnus of the Year, a well deserved honor for one of SFL’s best and oldest friends.
We also had quite a weekend on social media, trending on Twitter all Friday night and most of Saturday. We introduced a Snapchat geo-filter for the first time ever, and live-streamed much of the conference on Facebook.
We partied hard, and learned a lot. And we made it clear what kind of liberty advocacy SFL is all about: #MoreMiltonLessMilo is still making the rounds on Twitter.
I hope you’ll carry the sentiment back to your homes and advocate liberty compassionately.
