Immigration is one of the most hot-button issues in U.S. politics today. With the 2020 Presidential Election ramping up and immigration policy playing a central role in the race, it’s more vital than ever that we get an accurate picture of the U.S. border. While pundits rant to living rooms across the country and politicians beg the electorate for votes, many people still remain unaware of what’s going on at the border. But if we are to live up to our role as responsible, politically engaged individuals, we must have an honest discussion about immigration.
There are folks on the ground that have been dealing with the border crisis for years and are well acquainted with the facts on the matter. That’s why Students For Liberty is helping student leaders virtually host Joshua Childress to speak to their campus groups. Joshua is a former Border Patrol agent that resigned after becoming disillusioned with U.S. immigration policy. Now he works to balance his day job with writing and arguing for changes to immigration policy. Once your application has been accepted, Students For Liberty will help fund and promote your virtual speaker event as well as help you coordinate with Joshua.
