Job Opening: Student Programs Intern, Events & Communications Intern

 European Students For Liberty (ESFL) is looking for talented pro-liberty students to join the ESFL 2017 Internship Program. If you’re ready for a challenge and want to do innovative work supporting fellow student activists, this is an opportunity for you!


Student Programs Intern

European Students For Liberty has an open position for one enthusiastic intern to join our team and support all aspects of our Local Coordinator Program. Assisting the Local Coordinator Program Manager, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work with volunteers throughout our network helping them to spread the ideas of liberty and achieve great things in their home countries and across the continent.

Role: As our Student Programs Intern you will work closely with our Programs Manager in all aspects of day-to-day management and administration of our Local Coordinator volunteer program. You will get first hand experience in how to manage various aspects of our program while working for a top-rated nonprofit organisation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the Local Coordinator Program
  • Attend interviews of new candidates
  • Collaborate with our European team of staff
  • Maintain databases, update website, update handbooks
  • Assist with training updates and feedback
  • Handle designated tasks promptly and independently
  • Support and assist all volunteers with their queries or activities

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Students For Liberty’s work and programs
  • English proficiency with strong verbal and written communication
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work autonomously with entrepreneurial drive
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Administrative experience or the ability to use Excel, databases, G-Suite, etc.
  • Positive, friendly, and professional work ethic
  • WordPress or website maintenance experience (desirable)


Events & Communications Intern

Ever wanted to coordinate a conference for for more than 1 000 attendees, organise diverse local events across the continent or manage social media and learn how to use the most cutting-edge digital marketing technologies? European Students For Liberty has an open position for one intern to join the events & communications team. As our Events & Communications intern you will work closely with European staff on a variety of challenging tasks that will broadly expand your skills and experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in day-to-day events and communications related operations
  • Manage Leadership Fora and other local events in Europe
  • Organise the 2017 Regional Conference Season
  • Update and maintain ESFL’s social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube
  • Schedule regular email updates for ESFL’s network
  • Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly newsletter
  • Draft, distribute, and pitch press releases, media alerts, and other stories

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Students For Liberty’s work and programs
  • English proficiency with strong verbal and written communication
  • Interest in events planning
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A problem solving/ solution oriented nature
  • Basic WordPress or website maintenance experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Facebook Ads and Google Analytics is preferred, but not required
