Global Content Marketing Specialist

Students For Liberty is currently seeking a passionate and professional individual to serve as our Global Content Marketing Specialist. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of a content marketing strategy for the Students For Liberty brand. As our Global Content Marketing Specialist, you are expected to refine SFL’s story, tone, and voice through a wide range of mediums. You will utilize keyword research, internal linking, UX best practices, SEO tactics, and personalization to drive high quality traffic to our organic assets. 

 

Your responsibilities as the Global Content Marketing Specialist are subject to grow and/or change according to our marketing needs. You are encouraged to make ongoing recommendations as you will be SFL’s main point of contact for our content marketing assets.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, curate, create, and format both short form and long form content in coordination with the content marketing strategy
  • Write engaging copy for our blog and website, as well as landing pages, videos, case studies, reports, white papers, infographics, social forums, and affiliated microsites
  • Create and manage an editorial calendar which includes at least one new blog post per week
  • Carry out competitive research and use findings to provide strategic recommendations 
  • Liaise with our design and video teams, and support the email, PR, and social media marketing specialists with ideation, proofing and distribution where needed
  • Analyze user data, and create student personas to inform our storytelling needs 
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize content for SEO by adding internal linking, meta titles, descriptions, and header tags in WordPress
  • Identify distribution channels using the content marketing matrix 
  • Work with the marketing team to craft inbound marketing campaigns using earned and owned media 
  • Prepare a monthly traffic report which includes keyword rankings, referring domains, bounce rate, pages per session, average page load time and CTR of specific calls to action
  • Own the SFL Style Guide and ensure all-around consistency (fonts, voice, tone)
  • Format, optimize, and distribute marketing success stories

 

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism or a related field
  • Fluency in English and exceptional writing skills
  • Previous content marketing experience
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles 
  • Portfolio of published work (online, media, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently 
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Integrity, humility and an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Positive, goal-oriented outlook
  • Willingness to learn, be proactive, and provide assistance as necessary
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, etc.)

 

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Google Analytics Certificate
  • Previous involvement with Students For Liberty
