Sales Team Manager

SFL is the largest pro-liberty student organization in the world in terms of leaders, active countries, events, and groups. SFL supports pro-liberty students by fostering a welcoming community, providing high-quality leadership training, and incubating innovative projects to spread the ideas of liberty. Last year, we had activities in 103 countries.

 

Overview

As our Sales Team Leader, or in non-profit speak Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development team of Students For Liberty (SFL). You will be in charge of overseeing the development strategy and guiding the fundraising team. You will guide, advise, focus, and train the fundraising team towards SFL’s goals to raise $5.3mn this year from individuals, foundations, and corporations. The Development Manager is critical to achieving SFL’s mission and reports directly to SFL’s CEO. We are primarily looking for an experienced Sales/Development Manager outside of the United States. However, the candidate needs to be available for meetings in the mornings (at least until 12pm Eastern Standard Time). The compensation will be competitive.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand the long-term goals of the organization
  • Create individualized action plans that position the sales team to help meet those goals
  • Manage, coach, and lead the sales team of seven including the CEO
  • Create organizational fundraising plans that maximize donors’ satisfaction and giving 
  • Oversee lead generation, cultivation, and solicitation of donors and foundations.
  • Using our Customer Relationship Management System, Salesforce, its dashboards, and reports to guide the development team.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of our data within Salesforce 

 

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience managing and directing a sales team.
  • Experience in providing sales training 
  • You believe in educating, developing, and empowering the next generation of leaders of liberty through Students For Liberty and are invested in our Vision 2022.
  • Familiarity with Students For Liberty and the ideas of liberty
  • Thorough written and communication skills, including full proficiency in English
  • Dedication to providing great service to our donors.
  • Motivated to work autonomously with an entrepreneurial drive in a remote environment
  • Strong sense of empathy
  • Meticulous record keeping
  • Creative approach to problem-solving

 

Preferred, but not required:

  • Proficiency in G-Suite
  • Salesforce experience
  • Experience with remote work
  • Experience with non-profits and fundraising
